Broadcasts

Push one post to many workspaces at once.

For Hub admins. Workspaces can't edit broadcasts — they appear read-only on the workspace calendar. If you want workspaces to customize, use a Template instead.

How it works

  1. Hub user creates a broadcast in the post editor
  2. Flamel copies the post into each targeted workspace's queue
  3. Each copy publishes to that workspace's connected accounts
  4. Variables resolve per-workspace at publish time

Create a broadcast

Click New Broadcast in the top nav (Hub only). Editor mirrors the regular post editor with three extra options:

Workspace selection

OptionUse for
All workspacesNetwork-wide announcements
Specific groupsRegion- or tier-specific campaigns
Selected workspacesOne-off targeted broadcasts
ExcludeRemove specific workspaces from any selection

Account type selection

You pick types (Instagram / Facebook / LinkedIn), not specific accounts. Each workspace's account of that type receives the broadcast. Workspaces missing that platform don't get that version.

Timing

OptionBehavior
Same TimeEveryone posts simultaneously (time-sensitive announcements)
StaggeredSpread across a window (avoids "obviously automated" feel)
Local Time"9 AM" means 9 AM in each workspace's timezone

Variables

Personalize per workspace:

{{location.name}}    {{location.city}}    {{location.state}}
{{location.phone}}   {{location.address}}  {{location.website}}
{{custom.<field_key>}}

Template:

Visit {{location.name}} in {{location.city}} for our summer sale!
Call {{location.phone}} to learn more.

Resolved (Downtown Store, Chicago):

Visit Downtown Store in Chicago for our summer sale! Call 312-555-0100 to learn more.

See Custom variables for the full list.

Preview before sending

Click Preview → pick a workspace → see exactly what they'll post. Confirm variables resolve correctly.

Broadcast statuses

StatusMeaning
ScheduledWaiting to publish
PublishingSending to workspaces
PublishedDone
PartialSome workspaces failed (usually expired connections)
FailedCouldn't complete

For partial failures: open the broadcast → see which workspaces failed → most likely expired connections → ask owners to reconnect → optionally retry just the failed ones.

Broadcasts vs Templates

Use broadcasts when consistency matters. Use templates when local customization adds value.

Letting workspaces broadcast (sub-workspaces)

For regional managers running multiple sub-workspaces: Hub Settings → Permissions → Allow Workspace Broadcasts.
